J. Adolf Bäuerle GmbH & Co. KG specialises in peeling plant steel products. Whether peeling, straightening or grinding, black material is transformed into a variety of blank steel products in the modern processing centres. The black material is refined to customer specifications at several processing centres. Rod steel in all standard dimensions and qualities is processed. The peeling process is always performed using carbide-tipped blades. Depending on the material strength and quality, roughturning is performed at up to 3,000 revolutions per minute. A permanent, highly sensitive measuring system monitors the automatic provision of blades resulting in a consistent surface quality permitting flexible and swift conversion of measuring areas. Materials are processed with thicknesses of 18–80 mm. After the peeling process, the steel can be straightpolished immediately. The straightening machines used in this process work with hydraulically dampened mangle rolls and permit alignment and pressure-polishing in a single step.
Peeled steel bars are produced in accordance with the DIN 669 and 671 standards. Depending on the customer’s specifications, rod steel is further refined on our combined grinding and polishing systems.
Renewed pressure-polishing after grinding increases the surface quality considerably. In the case of 18 to 50 mm steel, tolerances are maintained in accordance with the h6 standard.

High-quality tools and processing times dependent on the respective material guarantee gentle handling of materials. Cutting into lengths of 3,500 mm to short sections of 20 mm is possible. In order to ensure that the peeled steel supplied by us can be easily processed within the framework of production, the product can be faced or chamfered prior to delivery. This permits optimum preparation of cold drawn steel for subsequent production processes at the customer’s.

All of the work steps are also offered as commission orders and processed to customer specifications.
